Racing With Pride: LGBT+ Education Event
23 June 2023 | National Horseracing Museum, Newmarket
British Horseracing’s official LGBT+ Network – Racing With Pride, in association with the National Horseracing Museum and the Diversity in Racing Steering Group, wish to invite those from across the sport of horseracing to join them face to face in learning more about LGBT+ inclusion through networking, panel discussions, and breakout sessions.
The first part of the conference will explore ‘What Does Pride Really Mean to the LGBT+ Community?’ This will reflect the current situation across British horseracing, the wider community, and also the situation in other sporting landscapes.
The second part of the conference will focus on Trans Inclusion with an educational workshop. Alongside this there will be practical advice on how to introduce and embed the newly created ‘Transitioning At Work Guidance’ that has been created by Racing With Pride. A full agenda of speakers and timings will be sent out to tickets holders nearer to the event date when finer details have been confirmed.
Following on from the education event; over a buffet lunch, attendees will be invited to tour the Museum and to view the new Racing With Pride Exhibition.
Attendees are also invited to stay on at the venue to chat and watch racing at Royal Ascot on the big screen. People can also book this as a separate ticket if they do not wish to attend the morning conference.
