Racing Staff Week 22-28 June

This was the eighth running of Racing Staff Week, and as ever, it shined a real spotlight on the dedication of all racing staff who make this sport possible.

Racing Staff Week recognises the contribution of the industry’s entire workforce, from stud and stable staff to breeders, trainers, racecourse staff and administrators and everything in between. The campaign is managed by racing’s human welfare charity, Racing Welfare, and is generously supported by Betfair.

Did you know?

• 85,000 people are either in direct, indirect or associated employment of British Racing
• 2,468 people directly employed in the British racing industry were supported by Racing Welfare in 2023

Racing Staff Races

Nearly 50 stable staff from across the industry took part in four charity races. Congratulations to everyone who raced and to all the support from your friends and colleagues in the lead-up to the races.

The races have raised thousands of pounds for Racing Welfare which is an incredible achievement on top of the race training and riding.

Community events

We hope you had a brilliant week joining in and creating your own myriad of events. Whether it was a game of Rounders, a quiz, a team BBQ, or entering the Photography competition, this week was designed to acknowledge and thank you for everything you do, and we really hope you had a great time.
