New qualification launched with the Scottish Racing Academy

The Scottish Racing Academy has announced a new upcoming qualification in partnership with The National Stud.

Coming this Spring is the 1st4Sport Level 3 Award in Principles of Transporting Horses By Road on Short Journeys.

This qualification is designed for individuals who already work with horses or who wish to work with horses and want to gain a qualification to enable them to transport horses on short journeys over 65km/40 miles but not exceeding 8 hours.

Successful learners will be able to progress to Attendant/Driver roles for short journeys.

Eligibility

Candidates must be at least 16 years of age at registration and certification.

Exam Dates

3rd April – Ayr

4th April – Kelso

£150 per person
